Two lagoons dewatered, and a baffle installed

Strattanville Borough Municipal Authority, Strattanville, Pennsylvania — Dewatering of two lagoons for a borough authority, plus a baffle installation — and the one job in our record with a signed client evaluation.

Vessels
2 treatment lagoons
Duration
59 days on site
Started
April 2021
Client type
Borough authority
The situation
Two treatment lagoons at a borough authority. For a borough running a single train, draining a cell for a drying season is not a realistic option, so the work had to happen with the lagoons in service.
What we did
Surface-operated sludge removal with the pump unit working the cell while it kept treating, sludge pumped to the bank, conditioned and run through the belt press on site, then hauled and disposed of. The aerial frame shows the hose run from the bank out across the water. A baffle was installed as part of the same engagement.
The outcome
Completed on time and within budget. The authority returned a signed evaluation form rating the work 10 out of 10 and confirming they would rehire. It is reproduced in full below.

On the water
